| JL Wrangler MaxCool hood - rounded fiberglass w/metal inserts |
| The JL Wrangler MaxCool hood has been developed to drastically reduce the engine compartment temperature; this is the soft rounded edged version with metal inserts; the metal inserts have six studs each to mount to the hood; on the hood inside are sun shields mounted to these studs, therefore no part of the engine compartment can be hit by the sun; an optional airbox is available to direct the airflow from the center intake directly into the Jeep's intake snorkel; this cools down the intake air to 5% above the outside temperature; at a higher speed an intake pressure is created; this fiberglass version weighs 22 pounds w/o hardware and added parts; it is ready to be painted. |
